If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
This worm has attached itself to system restore. I have tried various virus
scanners and they have failed to pick it up. Any suggestions on how I can
remove it most welcome.

Dump the System Restore cache, reboot thye PC, then re-enable the System Restore
cache.

Suggested cache size, ~600MB
