Hello

Does anybody know of any good virus protection / firewall software for 2003
server.
It looks like that zone alarm is not supported on 2003 server.
Also how is the built in firewall on the 2003 server?

Thanks
Joe from jersey

Symantec Corporate Edition 10 for Servers/Workstations is the best I've
used in all my years.

A NAT Router or a real firewall is better than anything you can install
on a non-dedicated server.

It is a server not a workstation, think about its role. As a server you won't
find a
FireWall application, a server is used in a LAN environment that should be
within an enclave
protected by a FireWall appliance.

McAfee Enterprise v8.0i (v8.5i should be coming out soon) is suggested.

Sometimes windows server 2k3 is used as a developers machine (like in my
case..).
To OP: I use Outpost f/w.

If you can afford W2003 as a workstation OS, or MSDN Subscription, or
the Action Pack, or the ISV program, then you can afford a NAT Router ro
protect the system too.

You could also afford a quality AV software designed for a server, like
Symantec Corporate Edition 10 for workstations and servers.
