If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
Hi ... Norton try to correct it but couldn't , So Norton mention steps to
take , Thats when the looping started when she try to follow the instruction
on norton site , said something about going into safe mode and turn off
system restore , Well when she try to restart in safe mode that when the
continues looping started ... So back to my question couldn't she boot
windows with the disc in the cd rom and try to clean her system ?

Follow the directions for what virus ?

You need to supply that information. What virus did Norton find ?

Retail boxed packages of Norton Antivirus come with a bootable CD-ROM
that you can use to do virus scanning and removal without having to
start Windows.

took the reformat way , She said that her computer has never been reformated
before and probably thought it was best ...

Until she is infected again becuase she learned nothing from the experince
except swatting
flies with a sledge hammer.
