I use Windows XP Home SP2. In Program Files\Java, I have two folders.
jre1.5.0_04, and
jre1.5.0_06
In my Add/Remove Programs, I see two entries:
JRE 5 update 4
JRE 5 update 6
Should I remove one of these?

JRE 5 update 4 (jre1.5.0_04) is a vulnerable version and should be removed from
the Control
Panel applet "Add/Remove Programs".

I wonder why when the update is installed, the vulnerable one remains?
Weird.

Because the new versions do NOT remove the old versions !
This is a problem that Sun refuses to recognize. I have been to many platforms
that have 6
or so different versions installed with 2 or 3 being vulnerable versions.

If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options OK. I uninstalled update 4. There are some relics left in the Java
Folder == C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_04\lib\ext ==
DRM0302java.jar
wildtangent.jar
What should I do with these?
