If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
If a trojan has been attached to a necessary Windows OS file, will
trojan cleaning software clean this type of trojan or is the only way
to get rid of these type is to format your hard drive? Thanks

It is not possible to answer your question without knowing what the
trojan is and what security program identified it. See this link for

Well sir on some aspect a trojan/malware/worm/rootkit creates or mimic a file
of a microsoft core files and this has the capability sometimes to attach on
major files.

to prevent this from happening while browsing online unprotected - without
AV/Anti spyware or Firewall please utilize a limited account since it wont
and it will not allow you to install anything - which would give you a buffer
time to reevaluate what you really want to do. ( if youre are to be attack by
social engineering / be mislead it would protect you ).
