If you want to post the link to your website in response to a specific
question or problem, and if the solution to that particular issue is on
your web site, that would be acceptable. But spam-vertising the site
just so your (and Yahoo/Geocities) many, many advertisers will pay you
for a higher click rate is simply despicable. And what all the pop-ups
all about? (I blocked them, of course.)
