poblems with SAV X install in enterprise environment?=20
Supposedly 10.01 fixed the problem of CPU resource hog but there's still =
the nebulous incompatibility problem with certain backup software.=20
I would like to propose this question to those that have used the =
product:=20
1. Have you had success uninstalling/installing the new Symantec Console =
Center and AV X as an upgrade from 9?

And just to kick them while they are down ;-)
Symantec's Antivirus Scan Engine Vulnerability!
According to this security response:
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/security/Content/2005.10.04.html
The AV scan engine has a vulnerability in the Web-based administrative
interface, which doesn't properly validate input provided through HTTP
requests.
If an attacker can gain access to the computers administrative interface on
TCP port 8004, they might be able to launch arbitrary code and gain
privileged access to your system
Check out the link for the versions it affects.
A fix is available from here:
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/security/Content/2005.10.04.html#savse4-3-12
