This afternoon, I picked up a mag dated December 2006 re computers(in a
waiting room) and there was an article re PC Tools Spyware Doctor4 and the
free download.
Towards the end of this article it said that readers were offered a 20% to
upgrade to SD 5?
I did the download etc but no such offer was there.
I have searched Pc Tools site and there is no sign of an SD 5.
A Google brought up another person asking such a question but they received
no reply.
I have a monthly comp mag - have read nothing about SD 5.
I do have the 4 version, but the only upgrade is to purchase the full
version of SD 4.

Surely your first port of call would be to 'phone the magazine ?
...decades ago I used to use the MSDOS base PcTools, rather, I used to use
just one or two facilities within the suite - they were quite good. Then,
(if I remember correctly), PcTools sort of got left behind !

regards, Richard

Hi RJK
I posted expecting some info before I was likely to get any from the mag or
PCTools.
Got that wrong :-).
I did tel the mag - got the response - 'articles are written on info as
supplied by the manufacturer??'
And what if that is wrong - 'we cannot confirm that'. Will you try to - 'I
will pass your info onto the editor'.
Sent message via PC Tools internal plus an external email - no reply as of
today. And I made it clear I wanted to buy.
But these days on the whole I find customer service crXp.
Thanks for the reply
