If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
I read that there is a hole in Norton's Antivirus program that could
allow a hacker to access your machine. Apparently Symantec has issued
a fix but I'll be damned if I can find it.

Would it be included when I do a "Live Update"?

For the same buffer overflow vulnerability ?

There were "other" vulnerabilities recently. This includes an archive file
parsing
vulnerability.
