Just a thought, that's crosses my mind now and again,

Has any malicious Rootkit scanner software / Rootkit removal software, been
found that actually installs a rootkit, if you see what I mean ?

regards, Richard

No *known* "rogue" anti rootkit utilities.

That was my evaluation !

I want something that apparently doesn't exist. Anti-malware that is 100%
effective, and will even detect and prevent EVERYTHING malicious, even when
not yet pre-armed against the very latest threat/s including the "one-off"
rootkit variants that those Eastern Eropean criminals are paying for.
...i.e.e.g. via SUPER-DUPER hueristics that are so good, that they blcok
everything genuinely bad and NEVER give a false positive !

:-)
