Is it safe to open for reading a PDF documents?
What are the security risks?

There are explots associated with PDF files. Keep the OS and Adobe software
patched and
updated and use anti virus software.

If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
David......there is a different PDF reader that is WAY smaller than
Adobe for reading documents. Mike Maltby recommended it and I have used
it for a while. It is called "Foxit"......only 1.5 meg, compared to 20.
Works for me.

We all switched over to that when Adobe had a major security problem
other than their very latest version.

Yes, I saw the threads of you and Mike were discussing it. There are other
alternatives as
well.

Thanks for posting the 'Foxit' alternative. I just downloaded it. For all
the other counts against Adobe Reader plus very buggy document download
behavior in my XP Pro and Home systems (especially when changing the page
viewed before the download is complete.)
