Don't know if this is a virus or not but figured I would try here.
XP Pro running Outlook Express.
When I configure my incoming mail server settings to my provider everything
works fine till I reboot, then my incoming mail server has changed to the
loopback address of 127.0.0.1 and I cannot get my mail. I change it and log
off and it's fine but after a reboot it goes back to the loopback again.
I have run my virus scanner and sypware scanner and neither has found
anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Tom

Try turning off any email scanning settings in your AV (like Norton) or
other third-party security software. You will still be protected by
your antivirus.

You must have some program(s) running that are acting as an email proxy
server. Since only you know what you have installed, you'll have to
look.
