I've used NAV for years and have had no bad results. It's saved my ass on
several occasions.

Why is everyone so down on NAV?

What is better?

If I get a good answer, I will switch to something else.

Suggestions?

Ever have a problem and need to uninstall it and re-install it? Ever have
one of their updates kill functionality in another application? If the
answer is no then you're lucky or don't use an email client for instance.

The only time I needed to uninstall it was when it expired. I used the
utility on the Symantec website to clean it out and cleared the registry of
any Symantec or Norton references and it re installed fine. I use Outlook
2000 for now. moving to Thunderbird soon. (I don't like HTML forced on me.)

Maybe I've been lucky.

You mean besides the resource hogging of NAV and the terrible Symantec support ?
