If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
I uses 3 PC's (XPSP2) on a network (Workgroup). As soon as I install NAV2006
on one of them, and I connect an external USB drive to that PC, it becomes
impossible to open that drive(set as shared)on one of the other two
networked PC's("..not enough server storage...). Disabling worm protection
doesn't solve the problem. Only completely remove NAV2006 corrects the
problem. Anybody has a hint? The Symantec KB is about changing the IRPstack
value in the registry, but this hint is worthless in XP.

That hint should work fine in XP. See this Microsoft Knowledge Base
for details, and start with a value of 15 for IRPStackSize on the
"server" computer:
