ended up losing everything, plus I somehow lost all my backups from my ext.
hard drive. I will start coming here because it is an informative group and
I have never been here.
So thank you. I am on my way to re-installing everying and I really find
this program.
Joanne boy am I losing it. I just saw that I use "Jody" as my display name
so obviously I have been here. BTS,sorry. Thanks again.
Jody

Is this the "Next Generation" for: InCtrl5, version 1.0.0.0?
If not, then what would be (and compatible with Vista)?
Desired Function: Installation Logging Tool that notes every file or
registry entry: touched, changed, deleted, added or replaced.

Check on the Microsoft webpage
<http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/default.mspx>
for lists, descriptions, and downloads of Sysinternals applications.
There are dozens of applications described.
You will find in the description of 'RegMon';
"Note: Filemon and Regmon have been replaced by Process Monitor on versions
of Windows starting with Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP SP2, Windows Server
2003 SP1, and Windows Vista. Filemon and Regmon remain for legacy operating
system support, including Windows 9x."

You will find an announcement about 'Process Monitor';
"We're excited to announce the release of Process Monitor, a system
monitoring tool that not only replaces Regmon and Filemon by including file
system and registry monitoring, but adds process, thread, and DLL monitoring
as well as advanced filtering, event information, and basic data mining
capabilities."

Operation with Windows Vista is implied.
