I have serious problems with viruses and am looking for advice on fixing
issues with these potential infections.

Background: Windows XP, EI7, 1 year old HP Media Center, 250GB hard drive,
2 GB RAM, 820MGH Duo Processor

Problem:
I have Shaw Secure 2.0 (antivirus software) on my computer and it appears
that viruses may be not only on the computer but possibly taken over Shaw
Secure so it does not detect them when I do a scan.

When in ShawSecure2.0, Internet Shield, Firewall, Rules I have the following
results:
1)        Active FP with a – (green checkmark)
2)        All outbound – (green checkmark)
3)        Commonly needed ICMP messages – (green checkmark)
4)        Block remote access to vulnerable…. (Red X)
5)        Deny inbound computer browsing…. (Red X)
6)        Bock remove access to vulnerable…. – (Red X)
7)        Deny and alert about malicious…. (Red X!)
8)        Deny rest (Red X)
All options to check or manipulate this information is “Grayed Out.”

In ShawSecure2.0, Internet Shield, Firewall, Services I have the following
results:
1)        Blaster wrom probe – (In Use but deny etc.)
2)        Bagle.Y Worm Probe – (In Use but deny etc.)
3)        Back Orfice RAT – (In Use but deny etc.)
4)        Kuang2trogan probe – (In Use but deny etc.)
The above are an example of only a few of a very long list of worms, Trojans
etc. in this list. Many are labeled as active and many are labeled as not
active. When I do a computer scan none of them are picked up. Also, when I
click on details they are all grayed out and I can not edit them.

Next, I have tried searching the web for some options and was directed to a
site http://www.trendmicro.com/download/pattern.asp. I am not sure if this
website and files are legitimate or have sinister intentions.

I am having huge problems with performance and what appears to be back door
control, security issues etc. and I would greatly appreciate some advice
trying to fix these problems. Please help.
