I am getting ready to renew my subscription with
NOD 32 but I saw a special offer for Bitdefender
v10 (2 years 2 machines 39.95 for a limited time)
so I wanted to ask if there are any opinions on
Bitdefender and if it offers a comparable level
of security to NOD32.

There is no right answer to your question. It mostly depends on which is the
better fit for how you use your computer, the amount of resources available
and what you consider the best value.

NOD32 is better. BitDefender offer or not.

NOD32 did not win Consumer Report's blind virus study. BitDefender
picked up 5,000 unseen viruses. I'm not a bitdefender zealot or
anything but don't say it's better when NOD32 did not do a good job
picking up viruses heuristically. In the end it's all about
preference.

I did buy BitDefender 10 at http://antivirus.citationsoft.com, FYI -
they had the 2 user / 2 year packs cheaper.
