Junk mails? Where are they? Lin Chung 09-21-2005

In the last perhaps two months, I have seen the number of junk mails in my
in-box reduced dramatically, from 70-90 a day dwindling rapidly to 0 to-day
(so far, up to this minute)! During the last 2-3 weeks, the number was 2-3.
Is this happening to everybody? I use POPFile to filter my mails, and now
all of what I receive are in the [not_spam] bucket. What has caused this?
Anybody?

Well it isnt a virus or security problem but spam has *always* been a problem.
Even with my
old CompuServe email address I received spam. Basically consider that your
email has been
added to a spam list that is being sold and passed around the underworld.

Between Verizon and its spam filters and my use of pegasus Mail and its spam
filters I
receive maybe a half dozen a week.

Maybe you need to switch to a better email spam filter.

Dave, reread the original post. 'Lin Chung' is in the enviable position of
receiving dramatically LESS spam.

Oh woe is me... Where is my head :-(

I guess I am not used to someone questioning why they are getting LESS spam
after all the
complaints about MORE spam.

POPFile is doing a gallant job! :) All my wanted, 'not-spam' mails are
correctly put aside, ready to be read at my leisure. But it is utterly
astonishing that there is not even one spam received today. Microsoft
'bought' out the Spam King's organization some months ago. I am just
wondering if this has anything to do with it, that is, if it is true that
everybody, not just me, has more or less stopped receiving junk mails.

Or, maybe I am just the luckiest guy on the net!
