If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options Thanks, for the heads-up guys;
When i removed the old versions, I did it through the add and remove
programs. I then removed all entries for, 5.0 Update 5 and 5.0 Update 6, from
the registry and program files, I did not think to search for older versions,
but i will, this is when windows crashed.
I went to java website to downlolad the latest version, but this is the
latest version to download - Java Runtime Environment Version 5.0 Update 6.
When i clicked on the link to download now windows crashed again and asked me
if i wanted to report the error, which i said no because they don't know what
caused the error in the first place. Java, advises to download latest version
which they say is 6. and when i do that windows crashes.
If the older versions can be exploited, why does java say to keep older
version other than some programs may not work if you uninstall previous
versions. Where do I downlolad the latest updated version for java, do i have
to manualy download.
Windows Online Installation: Typical download size is 7.1 MB, which is the
minimum download. The size may increase if additional features are selected,
but their are no version numbers. I should point out that when i went to
verifiy installation it failed in the message java said i was running the
latest version and then windows Crashed..
