Hi Panda Man
Ashamed to ask, have meant to many times, but how would I know if I
wanted/got/need Java. I have no actual prog. called Java, but aware there
is a connection between it and Acrobat.
It always worries me when I see in one of your set replies to a poster's
problem, 'If you have any version of Java' etc etc or words to that effect.
I think - oh god I must ask about this Java.

If you have v5 uupdate 4 or a prior version, it is strongly advised that you
install the
latest version.

The older version has a vulnerability that is being actively exploited.

Simple check, look under...
C:\Program Files\Java

The only folder under that folder should be the latest version.

Such as...
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_08

You must still manually remove the previous version(s).

It is suggested to remove old versions by the Control Panel applet; "Add/Remove
Programs"
prior to the installation of a new version.

Thank you David
I have NO Java folder in C:\Prog Files so any updating is of no consequence
to me.
