If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options Do you have Windows Explorer set to display hidden files and folders as well
as system ones etc? It's sounding to me like either your system is set to
hide these and Windows is getting confused into thinking this IS a system
directory, or else like you have a rootkit.
Unfortunately I haven't had much of an opportunity to investigate rootkit
detection/removal software so there's little more I can do than hopefully
nudge you in the right direction.
