I want to do some testing with a Pre Installation Evironment virus
cleaner tool. Where can I download a fully functional harmful "file
erasing" virus. I have downloaded the eircar.txt file, but I need
somehting a little meaner. My purpose is only to test this cleaning
software, and I am also looking for spyware.

Thanks,
Adam

You'd better stop searching for a virus on your head, because you can get
one that cannot be identified by your antivirus software...Instead use files
that contains signatures of viruses:
http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm - they are not executable and
thus cannot harm your PC, by they contain signatures that AV can found.

I am aware of the consequences. I have a fresh install of XP on a
"beater" machine and I want to "kill it" and simulate a virused
machine. If I can not fix it I will just reinstall XP, unless there is
something out there that won't let me...

Although I also don't agree with what you want to do , try this:

www.180solluhhhtions.com (remove hhh) for spyware infection

and try in porn sites where you will definitely get infected.
Many free or shareware games of SuperMario (which are not legal) contain
trojan(s).

But once again ...I don't agree with what you want to do .

Since you are asking in a public News Group, from Google of all places, I think
your idea is
contrindicated as you may not have the skills to deal with an infection.

It is WRIONG of you to ask for infectors and no respectable anti malware person
should/would
provide you with one. We are not here to spread infections but to help remove
them.

The most you will get is a Trojan Simulator
