I just have downloaded and installed this thing and now I can't
find the damned thing so I can run it.

It did not add any entries anywhere in my start menu and there
are no new folders anywhere on my C: drive. Amazingly enough
there was not even one of the $NTUninstall folders created for
this tool.

It already ran. If it found a targeted Internet worm you would habve been
notified. In
runs silently in the background via the Windows Update web site.

I downloaded and installed from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=AD724AE0-E72D-4F54-9AB3-75B8EB148356&displaylang=en

I don't and won't use WindowsUpdate until MicroSoft makes it
usable from browsers other than IE.

That doesn't change a thing.

The malicious software removal tool only checks for the most common threats
like stinger a great tool but it has its limits, use another scanner one that
checks for thousands of threats.
