I have Win XP Pro and uninstalled Symantec Antivirus to installed Norton 2007
but when i tried a message saying that i have Symantec Antivirus and that it
has to be removed first, appeared. I already checked my HD for any left file
but i still got the problem.

Thanks!

Figgs provides sound advice, however the removal tool may also fail as =
the Symantec button may tell you that you need a password to remove it.

We need to know exactly what version(s) of Norton/Symantic was =
installed. Examples are given below:

NAV Norton Antivirus 4.x / 5.x=20
NAVCE Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition 7.0x 7.5x 7.6x=20
SAVCE Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition 8.0x 8.1x 9.x=20
SSC Symantec System Center (from CE 7.x / 8.x / 9.x)=20
AMS Alert Management System (from CE 7.x / 8.x / 9.x)=20
SCF Symantec Client Firewall 5.x 7.x=20

Should NSRT fail, provide the exact version(s) of Norton and we'll take =
it from there.

Good Luck!

Let me know if NSRT works and if not, I'll use a different approach.

Good Luck!
