I did.
I installed Kaspersky (the latest version + updates), followed your advices
and performed a complete scan.

Kspersky found the virus twice in my Internet Cache.

I also put in my Firewall the URL to deny access to my PC.

The file and the sender seems to have disppeared from my computer now.

Thanks,

For David Lipman. Seeing your very knowledgeable contributions to virus
problems, I use McAfee Security Centre but out of curiosity I tried the
Kaspersky Online scan. It found :
"Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Tibs.jr " infecting four files.

Is this a virus, McAfee missed it ! How to get rid of its presence? The
main file it is on appears to be about 257,300,400kb in size.

Thanks

Brett

It is not a virus, and that's good. The Tibs is a Trojan and that's no so good.

I don't understand by what you posted...
"The main file it is on appears to be about 257,300,400kb in size"

Please post the fully qualified name and path to the file (or files) determined
to be
infected with the Tibs Trojan.
