Not entirely true. Some may not be able to remove it, but I wouldn't
suggest none could.

Except that Hijackthis can be fooled, and leave a trojan completely in
place AND operational.

BugHunter will catch some of these as well, and the scantime isn't

Your very Honest malke, I work in a shop that is skilled with malware
removal.. But I generally agree with everything you've said. It's rare
to find a small computer repair place that's honest. And I think that
you are.
