Hi,
I was wondering if the anti-virus program in LiveOne Care scans files as
they are being downloaded with the built-in download manager in IE 7?

Thanks,
Bob S.

Not exactly as it is being downloaded but as the file is written to the Browser
cache (aka;
TIF).

However, the AV software in OneCare has one of the worst catch rates in the anti
virus
industry. Therefore it is suggested to get anti virus from a well known anti
virus vendor
such as Kaspersky or NOD32.

Thanks for the info Dave. I was just looking at the Kapersky suite and just
had one additional question. I have been a very happy McAfee user for many
years using their suite products. (except for anti-spam). The problem was, it
got to where performance was being degraded beyond acceptability so I decided
to abandon the suite. OneCare's performance has been fine. Can you tell m if
Kapersky's suite might be faster than McAfee?

Thanks,

Dave,
After further reading with PC World and C/Net's review's, Kapersky is the
one I'm going to go with. Thanks again.
