In my OE Sent folder i just discovered three that I supposedly sent by I
have no idea (or starting to have a memory problems). All were sent to:
fraud@mailfrontier.com. One was (supposedly) sent from Bank of America
server, other from Chase server and the last one from someone named "Lisa
(kalimutha@sbcglobal.net). It looks to me like someone was able to use my
system as a transfer point but - rather - from the text of message (your
account was blocked and we need, etc.) was trying to get some information
from my system. I have several safeguards on system, my provider too but...
Any idea where to look and what to do?
I didn't send those myself.

Download MULTI_AV.EXE from the URL --
http://www.ik-cs.com/programs/virtools/Multi_AV.exe

To use this utility, perform the following...
Execute; Multi_AV.exe { Note: You must use the default folder C:\AV-CLS }
Choose; Unzip
Choose; Close

Execute; C:\AV-CLS\StartMenu.BAT
{ or Double-click on 'Start Menu' in C:\AV-CLS }

NOTE: You may have to disable your software FireWall or allow WGET.EXE to go
through your
FireWall to allow it to download the needed AV vendor related files.

C:\AV-CLS\StartMenu.BAT -- { or Double-click on 'Start Menu' in C:\AV-CLS}
This will bring up the initial menu of choices and should be executed in Normal
Mode.
This way all the components can be downloaded from each AV vendor's web site.
The choices are; Sophos, Trend, McAfee, Kaspersky, Exit this menu and Reboot the
PC.

You can choose to go to each menu item and just download the needed files or you
can
download the files and perform a scan in Normal Mode. Once you have downloaded
the files
needed for each scanner you want to use, you should reboot the PC into Safe Mode
[F8 key
during boot] and re-run the menu again and choose which scanner you want to run
in Safe
Mode. It is suggested to run the scanners in both Safe Mode and Normal Mode.

When the menu is displayed hitting 'H' or 'h' will bring up a more comprehensive
PDF help
file. http://www.ik-cs.com/multi-av.htm

Installed and started to use your suggestion/program immediately. Started
to download AVs one by one. Sofos went smooth, clicked NO for scanning now.
When I started to download Trend something very strange started to go with
my system. First, I lost most of my desktop icons, then also I lost icons
in trays. Rebooting didn't help. Turning off/on also not. Finally my
system started to be totally unusable. At every turning on I saw only blank
screen - not even information about motherboard etc.
Tried to repair/reinstall windows (XP). No success. Installation stalled.
In desperation formatted partition with Partition Magic. Again -
installation stalled at same point. Finally I gave on.
A friend (running computer service) checked it - to no avail. He also
engaged his other friend (also running other computer services). Finally I
bought another HD, had both installed on system, on new one they did a
fresh installation of XP/SP2 (legal on) , the original one with two
partition is a second one ( second partition is intact - checked with Active
Partition Recovery).
Now I'm fighting with recovering backup from .bkf on Maxtor external drive
(some errors shows up). Also, trying to reset Buffalo network drive with
most of my working documents and downloaded programs (needed utilities too).
So, the end of last week and start of this one I had excotic.
This is my report for now.

ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite (and maybe other versions of ZA) will do
that.

It is part of their service to report Phising emails so that it (the
offending email) can be added to their definition files for others to
benefit from.

I think your computer is being used as a Zombie for spam
See below
http://pages.infinit.net/filmore/educateYourISP.htm

If this is so then you need to get the matter resolved before you find
yourself on blocking lists i.e. when you send emails out they may not get
through because other IP/ISP have you on their block lists.
