Hi everyone,
My boss wants me to go around the office and check our staff pc's for
programs/software that should not be there like (firewalls, music file etc..).
Anyone have an idea what programs/softwares to look for that my harm the
computers? I have no idea where to start.
Thanks in advance

I mean NO offense by the following...
If YOU have no idea where to start, YOU are not the right person to do this !

Please hire an outside consultant to check your office computers.

There are many ways to do this without leaving your desk, but, if you
don't already understand, you could get it wrong and it could be used
(incorrectly) to punish someone.

We have a policy of no multimedia/music and no pictures in the users
folders, and we delete them every night.

Are your computers part of a domain (where you have a server and
workstations) or just a workgroup?

You might also seek the help of various local IT people.
