| ClamWin seems to be a newly offered free antivirus program. The fact the
| version number is 0.88 is not good. There are other free antivirus programs
| that would be a better choice.
|
| Try the free version of AVG from Grisoft. The Spanish language home page is

It is more than free, it is a "On Demand" only GNU project based offering.

Frankly, it isn't that great at all. In comparison, the FREE BitDefender is an
"On Demand"
only scanner and is much better.

As a side note I'm doing some testing of it on a live LAMP stack using the
tie-in with cPanel's control panel and WHM (Web Hosting Manager) for
uploaded files and email. So far no false positives and the initial tests
using a few live samples (to my own email of course) have been at 100%. I
still can't see anyone using it as a main line of defense but to have it tie
into the LAMP stack is nice and probably one of the best things about it.
There aren't a whole lot of malware threats to Linux users (don't let the
zealots fool people - there are some) but the vast majority of folks pulling
the 2 GB of bandwidth per month or so down are on Windows - the added
protection is a nice thing to have though I still wouldn't recommend folks
use their email provisioning without having their own client-side AV app
running. It's actually enabled for the clients now and so far no one's
complained or they haven't noticed it in their control panels. (Either one's
just as likely.)

For /*YOU*/ and only for you (Galen), if you would like a Zoo for your tests,
email me.

Then maybe I can get some statistical data from your tests.

Email's sent. There's a test email or more options. It'd be interesting to
see the results.

Shouldn't this be a question to ask ClamWin? Like viewing their
documentation at www.clamwin.com or visiting their forums at:
