David, I downloaded the program and unzipped the program according to
instructions posted here. I do not think I have any kind of baddie on
my machine but I would like to use your tool as another resource in the
fight against baddies on computers. Anyway, I went to execute the
program and the DOS Box came up but then closed. Do you have to execute
this program in safe mode, DOS mode or command prompt and thanks in
advance for the troubleshooting help?

You can run Multi_AV in Normal Windows, Dan, unless perhaps you have some
kind of protective app that is preventing it. In fact, in order for you to
use it in Safe Mode, you have to first run through the cleaners in Normal
Mode, allowing them to download latest components, not allowing the scans to
progress afterwards, before restarting in Safe Mode.
Note that when you start Multi_AV using the "Start Menu" shortcut, a DOS
windows flashes briefly, and only after several moments does the main window
appear. Then, when using the cleaners, there are several times when
everything just disappears for occasionally long periods of time (doing
things invisibly) before the next panel appears, whatever that panel might
be. Be patient, Dan.

Thanks Gary. I was not patient and figured something was wrong. I am
used to everything going so quick in my machine in 98SE. I closed the
DOS box when nothing appeared after a few seconds. <grin>
