Well I am sure you know about AVG for personal free. They also have what
they call network edtion and you can use it as stand alone or you can
install the network portion of the program and control the program on all
computers in the network from one main machine.
They have this if various sizes that you can purchase. I happen to have
Network Edition for 20 computers. The program seems to work fine. The main
reason I purchased this is Norton and Mcafee both wanted a special version
of the programs they sell if you put them on a computer with Windows 2000
Server or Windows 2003 Server. The network edition of AVG will work on both
those server machines as well as all of my other machines and it ended up
costing me about 23.00 per machine about 2 years ago for a 2 year license on
each of my 20 machines. Had I gone with Norton I would have paid much more.
Now in December I have to renew and it is only going to cost about 12.00 to
13.00 per machine for the next 2 years.
The program has done me well and caught everything except for one virus I
got on one compouter that one of my employees downloaded the same day it
came out before a fix was available.

I use and have, for many years, Symantec Corporate Edition for
workstations and servers - not the group ware or client ware versions.
I have never had a compromised network that used SCE along with our
firewall measures and other security measures.
I have found issues with SCE 10.2 on Windows 2003 Servers where profiles
are corrupted and the server login will hang, requiring a hard reboot.
SCE 10.0 versions don't do this.
I actually bought 20 licenses for my home network.
I've used about everything on the market and I keep returning to SCE,
clients have just over 3000 licenses/installs and it's painless and low
on resources.

Same as Leythos's points here; we've been using for the last 6 years
Symantec Corporate for servers and desktops (and Mail Security for
Exchange for the last 3) in a small (35 users) network. One minor
infection.
