Everyday at a particular time Command Prompt windows appears for a few
seconds, is there something i need to be careful about

Do you have McAfee security by any chance?
I know my works PC has it installed and every morning about 9am a command
prompt window opens and closes.

If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
Quite often it is contributed ( realtime ) by programs set to run at startup

For you to better isolate what is causing such
go to Start>run
type msconfig and click on ok
System Configuration Utility
proceed to startup tab
and there would be the list of eveything you have that start along once you
loads up your profile / user account.

If you have a working and updated AV then you really don't need to worry!
