I suspect that there is some virus in the Boot Sector. I have already a few
A/V - Anti-spy gadgets on my system but I'm not sure that they are checking
boot sector. What's your suggestion? What tools to use to check boot
sector and clean up it eventually?

What makes you think you have a boot sector virus? Boot sector viruses
haven't been common for many years and it is extremely unlikely that
you have one.

On what basis do you "suspect" a Boot Sector Infector ?

This is a very small class of viruses that are not found on Today's systems
using NTFS
partitions and mere conjecture is not enough.

Recently during booting I discovered a momentary message: MBR Error 2. In
other group (hardware) I got some suggestions: HD going bad, use Recovery
Console to fix it, etc. I diagnosed drives (WD - considerably new) with WD
diagnostics - drives are ok, according to tests. Using Command Prompt I set
"chkdsk /f" to run at booting. It run but only 3 steps and not 5 (like for
/f option).
Then at next boot I started Recovery Console. It started load then I
received BSD with a stop info:

STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78D254, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

One of MS option for this error on this blue screen (and in KB) is - virus.
Since "MBR Error 2" refers to Master Boot Record (as I learned) so - boot
sector, I guess.
Or not.
I'm not a such expert as most of you but - it seems logical to me.

Neither of your replies are indicative of a Boot Sector Infector.

Go to the hard disk manufacturer's web site and download their diagnostic
software
respective to your hard disk. After the test, you will know if the hard disk is
bad or
not..
