Hi,

I running XP SP2 and I have a worm or virus problem.

I started to get a MS message asking to check my disk. I know that's
normal.
But now it wants to copy file from other partitions and check others
too.
Each time I restart it checks more and more.
Then I get a screen telling me, windows wants to send a issue message
to MS.

I now also I get a blue screen that flashes for a second after
shutdown.
The flash contains alot of words and some code, but it blinks after all
systems have shutdown.
Then the system reboots and the ms check starts again.
No matter which button I hit (shutdown or re-start), the computer
shuts down and restarts.

Prior to all this IE explorer would not work online just hanging as if
it was trying to connect.
It also disabled my anitvirus (Comp Assoc/ Yahoo) and attempted to
disable my firewall (Zone Alarm)

I can't get on the net to download any other virus protection or down
loads.
What can I do to solve this problem, while I'm on the road (using hotel
internet room).

Hi Bry,

I knew there was a piece of that I forgot to get to...

If you are in the U.S. or Canada, you can call 1-866-pcsafety for free help.
Ask for the free help with virus or security issues from Microsoft PSS staff.
This help extends to spyware removal as well.

Good luck
