My corporation is currently using Symantec Endpoint Security and after
uninstalling their product I have noticed a huge performance boost in my 64
system. I have heard from a lot of users on our network complain about how
slow their computers are. I have spoken with Symantec support and had them
tweak our software, but still systems are slow. I would like some
suggestions as to what others are using and whether I should steer clear of
Symantec's product.

Thanks!

I find Symantec to be quite heavy for a client AV solution.

Some of our customers have movede to Sophos and have seen some performance
improvement over Symantec.

Symantec Corp Ed for Workstations and Servers is about as light as you
get while still having a quality product.

Had the same problem. Some friends of me had also a problem with avast. I
moved to Eset Nod32 and things are fine.
