Hi,
I have two exchange 2003 servers. One is frontend, the other is backend. I
installed antigen
for exchange 9.0 on both and antigen enterprise manager on frontend server.
I used trial
versions of antigen for exchange for a month. After a month, when I
installed license of them
(Antigen enterprise manager is installed on frontend server on the same day
that the licenses
are installed), delays ocurred on POP3 communication. License is enterprice
license that is
allowed to use 8 engines. There is no problem when the messages are sent and
received through
OWA, Outlook MAPI. But if the client uses POP3 to sent messages, the message
is received 10
minutes late. Because of the client performance issue, most of the clients
use POP3 in our
organization. There are more than 500 email clients that use POP3. I
arranged bias settings to
max perfromance on both servers. I selected only one engine. However it did
not help. When I
disabled antigen services on Exchange Frontend Server, the problem has
resolved.
What makes antigen to decrease POP3 communication? I could not find anywhere
on antigen
interface to optimise POP3 performance. If anybody can help me on this
subject, I will
appreciate.
Kind Regards,
John
