AGV will no longer be free after 1/15/2007. Was wondering what you think of
Avast or any other freeware antivirus?

I can understand how people think AVG is no longer free. I did myself before
reading these posts. You have to look down the product list to "Other
Solutions" near the bottom.

I like Avast over AVG (personal preference), but AVG is still free.
Grisoft just didn't want to mention the free product in your notification
becaue they want users satisfied with their product to pay $$. However,
the free product can be downloaded either from free.grisoft.com OR from
www.download.com.

Avast is better than AVG - it has more shields than AVG and moreover recently
it gets better results than AVG in AV-Comparatives tests .

AVG will be free , it has even new version -> 7.5 but if you want to try
Avast , you are welcome www.avast.com
Make sure to run only 1 antivirus .
