For the TV side of things, we use Sopcast. Although they
call it P2P it does not work as a P2P, but goes through a
central server in China. Also, you do not need to load
the client software, IE or Firefox will download and
install a plug-in to watch Sopcast channels embdedded into
a browser Window.
This also allows the station to be watched using virtually
ANY proxy server, and we are seeing a lot of viwership
coming from office networks all over the place. People are
interested in the Sotomayor hearings, and I am HELL BENT
on people being able to get past company firewalls to get
it becuase a lot of Americans want to hear what she has
to say, and if corporate network admins don't like it,
tough. America wants to hear what she has to say, and I will
move HEAVEN AND EARTH to make the hearings accessible in
workplaces.
