Anyone out there have a Checkpoint VPN-1 Edge box? I have a few questions.
1. We're interested in some form of traffic monitoring system, to see how
we're doing on bandwidth. Recommendations?
2. I've tried a couple of traffic monitor programs that use SNMP to no
avail. On Checkpoint's literature, it claims the VPN-1 Edge has SNMP
support, but googling that, I find a lot of people haven't had luck getting
it to work. Anyone?
3. Our current firmware is 4.5.39x .. can it be upgraded? I've seen there's
a firmware 5.0.x, can ours be upgraded to that? -- Additionally, is it true
that in order to get the firmware, one needs to buy the Software
Subscription for $700? (That's a huge figure for a simple firmware upgrade
to a $1500 box.)
