On certain web sites when I try to use hyperlinks, my I.E. emporarily
freezes, then just stays on the same page. In order to naivgate away I
need to type in the address manually. I think this may be linked to a
pop up removal program that some body installed for me and then
removed.
Can anyboby please help as it is driving me crazy

It sounds like it wasn't fully, or properly, removed. The web site is
probably trying to open the hyperlink in a new window, and the browser
has been instructed not to open new windows.
