Does anyone out there have experience with a Symantec Gateway Security
5400?

We have an issue where our SMTP return DNS is not the same as E-mail
Server address. (I hope I'm explaining that correctly).

It seem the rDNS is the firewall address and it doesn't mail the e-
mail's DNS.

The configuration looks like it's setup right but I'm Firewall
newbie.
Any help on this issue would be helpful on this. Thanks.

...you're not.... SMTP has an address, so does DNS, rarely are they
the same....

I have only one peice of advice, get the manual, read/skim over it
near the SMTP and ports section... The way you are explaining this
hurts my head... I really can't make heads or tails about it, and I'm
pretty sure we can help....

In my experience, they were cumbersome to work with, hard to navigate
thru,etc.... but if I were presented with a choice of this device or
another comparably priced box, I'd NEVER look at the symantec... why?
not a good product for security.... it's a better VPN device than a
firewall....
