If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
Sorry if this is a newbie question. I wonder if there are samples of
harmless viruses on the usual (e.g. Norton) lists that I can use
simply to verify that my computer is properly protected. It's one
thing to configure a bunch of dialogs and quite another to send
yourself a virus over email/web/whatever and see that yes, indeed, the
software caught it. I'm wondering if such samples, or at least their
bit patterns, exist purely for testing purposes.
