Hello,

I'm looking for hard numbers on firewalls used on desktops. Which one
is the most popular ? Is there a ten top list alike somewhere stating
which are the most used ?

Sorry, but your question is way too subjective!

Try Googling "firewall review" or something similar.

I need to test some network software that will use P2P ports and would
like to test the most used personal Firewalls without loosing too many
resources on the non used ones.

On Mac OS X desktops, virtually everyone uses ipfw, since that's what
comes installed by default and it's a good one. (Most people don't
access ipfw directly though, and instead make use of the GUI in the
Sharing preference panel. But that just talks to ipfw under the hood.)
