I'm having a problem with the Norton Internet Security 2005 Download
Manager. I think.

I am trying to install updated drivers from GEAR software. I've
downloaded the installer, and hit the setup button (it's a WinZip
self-extractor). It appears to extract the files, and then the Norton
Internet Security 2005 Download Manager comes on and and wants to
download NIS_Retail.exe. I thought maybe something was backed up in it,
so I let it download the file. I ran the GEAR install again, and the
same thing happened.

First off, I don't know why it wants to keep downloading that file.
Secondly, I don't have any idea why it's running at all.

Most importantly, is there some way to disable it? Symantec's website
acts as if the product doesn't even exist. Help!

Thanks in advance,
Kevin
