Hi All,

I have a LAN network (unmanaged switches) and my issue is even after
implementing websense I am not able to stop people downloading waste
stuff from HTTP in peak hours. Basically I want to check who is
downloading what and then terminate that download when I see a high
utilization on my MRTG Graph.

Can anybody help.

Thanks

Why not implement the blocking at the firewall?

Most firewalls include a web-blocking function to block sites not
approved.

Most firewalls also have HTTP proxy services that allow you to designate
what is/is-not approved for downloading...

Most firewalls also allow you to specify what time filtering is enabled
and disabled on the web-filters.
