I don't personally have the expertise to determine whether this
article is credible.

I'd be interested in you comments:

PS: I should have been more clear.
I'm aware of the Snopes link, and that THIS site is a hoax.

But is it POSSIBLE for manufacturers to build and install such a
thing?

I'm hoping that net traffic spotted by astute users would
quickly result in such a keylogger being identified and
publicized.

Possible? hell yes. the parts listed in the article are real, and
can easily be used to create such a device.

It could, but if such a thing is a serious threat, the only SURE way
to be safe is to open your pc and examine the circuits yourself.

Yes.

But it's very unlikely for the Government to do this without a law or
an ordinance which describes that.

This is true even for the Bush government.
