VULNERABILITY SUMMARY
A potential vulnerability has been identified with HP-UX systems running WBEM
Services. The vulnerability could be exploited remotely to create a Denial of
Service (DoS).

HP-UX B.11.00, B.11.11, B.11.23 only

BACKGROUND

A vulnerability in WBEM Services allows a remote user to create a Denial of
Service (DoS) attack.
There are no reported attacks based on this vulnerability.

To determine if a system has an affected version, search
the output of "swlist -a revision -l fileset" for an affected fileset
or patch, then determine if a fixed revision or applicable patch is installed.

HP is providing the following HP WBEM Services for HP-UX updates to resolve this
potential vulnerability.

Users of HP WBEM Services for HP-UX 1.5 on HP-UX B.11.11 and B.11.23 are
encouraged to upgrade to HP WBEM Services for HP-UX 2.0. These upgrades are
available from http://h20293.www2.hp.com .

retrive patch PHSS_32738
