Hello,

I am looking for some freeware Anti Virus for Windows. For 3 years now,
I have been using Norton Anti Virus suite. I like Norton AV but for
financial reasons, I plan to use some freeware AV on Windows for a
while. The Norton subscription window is continuously reminding me to
subscribe. I would like to use some freeware AV in the interim. Could
some please recommend if there are any good freeware AV tools available?

Thank you in advance for any information.

Regards,

AVG (http://www.grisoft.com) is quite good, as is Avast (please don't ask
me where to get that one, though. I haven't used it in years).

Recommend you also do something about syware and other, equivalent
threats. As a rule, I usually recommend a suite of four programs:

1. Zonealarm personal firewall
2. AVG Antivirus
3. Spybot Search and Destroy
4. Ad-Aware.

These four are all free and all very good.

HTH.
