On one machine on our network EFS performance (Using windows 2000) is
unacceptably poor. writing a couple of chars to a text file or even
browsing a directory can take up to 10 seconds. The machine is equally
spec'd to other machines running similar loads, so I assume it is a
windows issue. Has anyone got any suggestions?
Alternativly, can anyone suggest an 'on the fly' encryption program? Ie
*NOT* solution which creates a separate encrypted file - the encryption
has to occur on the file itself, in the same way EFS does.
thanks,
graham
